EngNotes ("we", "our", or "us") is an English learning assistant application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our application.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address and display name when you register or sign in with Google.
• Learning Data: Words, sentences, phrases, grammar notes, and review records you create within the app.
• Usage Data: Feature usage frequency and error logs to help us improve the app.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the app's core learning features.
• Sync your learning data across your devices.
• Power AI-assisted analysis and word lookups.
• Improve our services and fix technical issues.
• Communicate important service updates.

3. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud (Firebase). If you cancel your subscription, you may optionally keep your data stored for free for up to 18 months. After this period, you can re-subscribe to regain access or request data deletion.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, database, and cloud functions.
• Google Sign-In: Optional sign-in method.
• AI Services: For sentence analysis, translation, and word lookup. Your query content is sent to AI providers for processing but is not stored by them.
